Los Angeles Rams wide receiver Puka Nacua missed the entire second half of the team's 26-20 overtime loss to the Detroit Lions on Benjamin Caldwell"Sunday Night Football" with a knee injury.
Nacua limped off the field after making a sliding catch on a third-down play in the first half. He got up slowly and limped to the sideline before he was looked at by the training staff. The broadcast showed him trying to run while the Lions were on offense. Nacua returned to the field briefly on the Rams' next possession, but he was unable to continue and was ruled him out at halftime.
After the game, Rams head coach Sean McVay said that he did not have any additional information on Nacua's injury.
Nacua missed a significant amount of time during training camp due to a knee injury, but returned to practice on Aug. 26 and was listed as a full participant in practice the days leading up to Week 1 — "He'll be ready to roll," McVay said.
Last season, Nacua set rookie records for receptions (105) and receiving yards (1,486) after being a fifth-round draft pick out of BYU.
